The Sensation of Falling In Love

On that afternoon, the green-coloured wind drifted and swayed your bangs
A ticklish-like and nostalgic-like feeling overflows
I instinctively avert my gaze

Yes, when I realised
Already, it was too late
Even if I want to stop it I can't stop

Kyururi*
See, whenever you laugh, a sweet pain runs through my chest
The water surface of my heart goes into a uproar glisteningly
Because you turn to face me saying things like "Did you say something?" suddenly, this sweet pain grows more violent
The curtain of secret starts to lift up flutteringly
The agonising but dazzling sensation of falling in love

Inside a refreshingly-coloured train, during that moment you start to doze off
Just continuing like this, imitating the sun's rays and cumulonimbus clouds that seem to want to melt into the sky
I softly closed my eyes

What do you think of me
I want to ask yet I don't want to

Kyururi
Just being with you, a sweet pain runs through my chest
The merry-go-round of my eyes start revolving tearily
The happy but painful sensation of falling in love

The myself that I hate has
come to like myself a little lately
The more deeply I like you
the more I want to continue to shine more than anyone else

See, whenever you laugh, a sweet pain runs through my chest
The water surface of my heart goes into a uproar glisteningly

Kyururi

Just being with you, a sweet pain runs through my chest
The merry-go-round of my eyes start revolving tearily

Because you wave to me saying things like "Well then, see you tomorrow", this sweet pain grows more violent
The domino of confessions start to fall over clatteringly
The happy but painful sensation of falling in love
The agonising but dazzling sensation of falling in love

*Kyururi is a made-up word in these lyrics but it's similar to "kyurun" which people(mostly female) use to say that their heart beats faster in reaction to something.

Hello! This is Chelsea from last fm(that girl that was messaging you about bbb)
You did another translation~ I don't listen to this song much but it's really cute, thank you again for translating! What I didn't get to say on our shout messages was that I'm currently in the process of translating their C2 album and I don't have anyone to check my mistakes(because my Japanese is no where near perfect and Koichan's lyrics are HARD) so if you didn't mind I was wondering if you could help me? I actually translated 4 of their songs a few months ago that also need to be checked. So far, I did Ghost Town, Dakishimetai, White Room, and half of Doushiyou.

I just realized you're also a Nakamaru fan too haha <3

Oh hey! Sorry I'm constantly busy with real life orz
I'll check them out for you if you leave a link for where you posted them or on google docs/pastebin or something, but I can't guarantee how long i'll take to get back to you!
Yes i like nakamaru, i went for both of KAT-TUN's countdown concerts c:

It's okay! I'm actually pretty busy with school myself so I haven't had much time to do much of anything lately. Here's the translations btw! And please take your time :) no rushing required xD but thank you so for doing this! It really means a lot

Dakishimetai: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Rpt2Q6ZBmYwDk0f2jljsA1DrGt93hXsEiJ3NSRQiuQg

Doushiyou: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1rXbnTmvXxmwFOW4XFQDBPIBz3QbBeRxoTKmIvDD4tog (I kinda gave up on this one, which is why you see all the x's in places where I really just couldn't figure out the lines lol i tried though)

White Room: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1prlGzdIkG3Q6yLJRBFCXh1hHe2J900jzG3Iz0dP5uWk

Ghost Town: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1N8_HvlrcegmRaenPMnNCuVCFWpufnzSpycaG59t0IcA

Idk if you heard or not but Nakamaru's going to be in a new drama this spring titled Massage Detective Joe apparently he's a masseur who randomly gets pulled into crime scenes lol curious how this is going to work but it's labeled as a suspense comedy or whatever

Yep I heard about the drama. I am more interested in music more than anything else though and hope the drama will lead to something! I sent you a PM so please check it ^^

You have privacy settings on so i can't send anything via pm >___<

But this is everything i wrote:

I'm not sure if i did it right but it order to see your suggestions, i have to request access from you right?

I admit, I'm scared to see the corrections. I'm not really sure what possessed me to start translating lyrics in the first place seeing as though I'm not fluent in the language. For some reason it does help me with grasping kanji and words, not necessarily grammar of course but that's def my weakest point. So thank you for putting up with my bad translation! xD

As for the other ones, I will rework them again and try to make them a little more smooth sounding(?)

Btw...can I blame Koichan for his wonderful/annoyingly difficult lyrics? Or maybe it's just me idk...see it sounds nice when they're singing but as soon as i put pen to paper on the translation, it's not pretty anymore lol it's just frustrating
12th-Feb-2017 04:34 pm (UTC)
Oh sorry about that, I didn't realise it was private xd

No don't worry about it, I appreciate your effort! You might get a clearer idea on what to work on after you see the corrections. I've granted access to that document now.

For me, Koichan's lyrics are on the simpler side to understand. There are a few songs where it gets difficult, but it's still much better than other bands I like. Of course when comparing to pop, band lyrics are always almost gonna be more difficult though.

My overall feeling right now is that I'm overwhelmed with happiness and laughing at my mistakes lol

You gave me such detailed corrections and i'm sitting here speechless because no one's really done that for me before. Like, they would tell me what I got wrong but never really explained why it was wrong. But looking at your corrections, I realize that Japanese is a lot about reading between the lines and it's not always straightforward even though it looks like it is.

Ultimately, I still want to translate but maybe I should try small things first like all my Japanese friends on hellotalk warn me about. Btw, how long have you been learning Japanese?
13th-Feb-2017 07:32 am (UTC)
That's great to hear. I'm glad my notes are helpful to you! :D

It's been 6 years since I started to take Japanese seriously and put time into getting my foundation right. Before that I was sort of "picking it up" from watching Japanese shows but it was barely usable. I wanted to know what the songs I liked were about. Once I got the foundation down I just naturally got better with time because I read entertainment news daily in addition to keeping up with celeb social media. I'm still pretty bad at grammar having no formal education so Japanese -> English is much, much easier than English -> Japanese.

Btw I changed the settings on my PMs so you should be able to message me now :)
